It is strange how different the first reading sounds from when it is heard at the Easter Vigil. Today the psalm suggests it about being with God and offering sacrifice.
O light of life is an English version of O nat a lux with a translation of the text and two additional verses from the same text. It is also SATB rather than SATTB - for the most part I though this was skilfully done apart from missing the first false relation between C/C# and some parallel octaves in the SA parts.
The last hymn was new for us and the first time we had sung Christe Sanctorum which is a great tune. The text picked the passion and so moved us forward on the road to Jerusalem.
