Today's Gospel is one of the most memorable exchanges but it appears not mohave inspired compares. You hear the lambs has been one of those pieces stored in the back of the mind, passed over, looked at but not sure which finally came to the liturgy — and it was rather fine and effective, I think.

Hail, O festival day we have not used for a long time, let's guess 15 years - but enough to remember that in the various editions of the hymnbook are different versions of the text. It is Vaughan Williams at his most robust, with even the a notch towards the vulgar and robust at the end of verses as it gets back to the refrain. We will, as we did before, sing it a couple of weeks as our 'Easter Entrance'.
